What is the Great Start to Readiness Program?
Michigan’s GSRP is a state-funded Pre-K program that prepares 4-year-olds for kindergarten at no cost to eligible families. It focuses on building the academic, emotional, social, and spiritual foundation every child needs to thrive.

Who is eligible for GSRP funding?
GSRP is available to families in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County.
Your child may be eligible if:
- They turn 4 years old by December 1st of the school year
- Your family meets income guidelines
- Your child has a qualifying IEP, is in foster care, or is experiencing homelessness
